My expertise has been applied to consumer behavior, conservation efforts, and legal and trial consulting. Also, my scholarship has been presented in many legal venues, including in briefs argued before the U.S. Supreme Court. Because I will be on academic leave during the 2023-24 academic year, I will not be available for consulting work.
Legal and Trial Consulting
I have provided consulting services to top law firms on issues where social psychological principles apply, including change of venue motions, analysis of reverse bifurcation laws, development and critique of voir dire questions, and evaluation of racial bias in communities from which jurors are selected.
Marketing and Consumer Behavior Consulting
My experience with how people's conscious and nonconscious feelings predict behavior has proven valuable to some of the world's largest corporations and pharmaceutical companies. I have directed research projects to examine subtle cues conveyed by consumer packaging, to evaluate the consumer impressions related to new product launches, and to develop and refine advertising campaigns based on state-of-the-art psychological principles.
